House Chronicles is the place to share photos, stories and advice about the never-ending journey that is ownership of a house or apartment.

  • Show off your nicely matching or hopelessly eclectic furniture, the pleasingly sloping but in need of patching roofline, the quaint greenhouse at the bottom of the garden where you grow your basil.
  • Share your experiences selecting and installing things like wallpaper, floor tiles, bathroom fixtures, lighting, kitchens, and so on.
  • Learn from each other about the hundreds or thousands of maintenance, decorating, renovation and gardening tasks that every homeowner must sooner or later confront or embrace, and how best to embrace or confront them.

House Chronicles gives you the chance to create and maintain a personal blog, a "house chronicle", with which to show off your wonderful home and write about its ins and outs, ups and downs, thrills and spills.

As you'll see, we're still sanding the floors and putting up wallpaper here at House Chronicles, so there's not a lot of furniture, rugs, lamps or pots and pans yet -- we've just put the key in the lock and opened the doors for the first time. So stick around, and help us get this place furnished. And if you notice a leaky tap or a crack in the floor, or can't figure out how to work the microwave, please let us know.
